MealSense is a sensory-integration-based, parent support program designed for parents of children with autism who have feeding difficulties. This course provides parents with knowledge and tools for mealtime. The program can also be used by occupational therapists who are looking to support their therapy practice. MealSense includes an introduction, followed by five short modules, and parent activities.

Meet Your Instructor

I have been providing clients and families with pediatric occupational therapy services for 20 years. I am passionate about sensory integration, feeding, and parent education.

I earned my master’s degree in occupational therapy from San Jose State University, CA, followed by my clinical doctorate from Thomas Jefferson University, PA.

MealSense was part of my clinical doctorate work, as I specialize in providing feeding support for children who have picky feeding issues, challenging mealtime behaviors, delayed oral motor skills, and difficulty progressing to solid foods. My approach is child and family-centered.
